About the Roles
As a Communications Officer at the APS5 or APS6 level, you will be a key part of a communications team, contributing to both internal and external communication strategies. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that may include:
Content Creation: Drafting and editing high-quality content for a range of channels, including web, intranet, social media, and internal publications.
Strategic Support: Assisting in the development and implementation of communication plans and campaigns.
Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support communication objectives.
Media Support: Assisting with media inquiries, drafting media releases, and preparing briefs for senior executives.
Digital Management: Managing digital channels and using data analytics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities.
Key Skills & Experience
We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in communications who can demonstrate the following:
Exceptional Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging way for diverse audiences.
Collaborative Mindset: A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong working relationships.
Problem-Solving: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality content.
Relevant Experience: Experience working in a communications role, ideally within the public sector. A relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded.
