A federal government agency is seeking an experienced and motivated EL2-level Business Analyst to lead the business analysis function on a strategic digital transformation initiative. The program is focused on improving case management systems and service delivery to child care providers through an enhanced Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) solution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Phase 3 of a modern case management system. This will build on previous phases to enhance user experience, streamline internal processes, and improve data and communication channels between the agency and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with internal stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements.
Develop detailed process maps and documentation of current (as-is) and future (to-be) business processes.
Translate business needs into functional requirements in collaboration with the ICT delivery team.
Contribute to project artifacts, including use cases, test plans, release plans, and business readiness materials.
Provide strategic input and regular progress updates to senior leadership, including the Project Manager, Project Director, and Executive team.
Lead stakeholder engagement across multiple business areas, ensuring business needs are understood and effectively represented.
Project Scope – Phase 3 Key Deliverables:
Expansion of online forms to streamline case creation and updates.
Implementation of enhanced operational reporting and analytics tools.
Improvements to integrated telephony (Genesys), including satisfaction surveys and call analytics for performance insights.
Usability enhancements to the D365 system, including better knowledge sharing and contextual record tagging.
About You
Proven experience working as a senior or executive-level Business Analyst in a federal government or large enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience working on ICT-enabled business transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of case management systems—ideally with experience in Microsoft D365.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a consultative and solutions-focused approach.
Experience in both Agile and traditional project delivery environments.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, including use of process mapping and business analysis tools.
