About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Data Modeller to support our Digital Transformation and Delivery division. This role is critical in designing and maintaining robust data models particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem to support high quality enterprise solutions. You'll collaborate across technical and business teams to shape the structure, flow, and integrity of enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with Salesforce data architecture principles, standards, and templates.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Maintain and update models in ER/Studio Repository ensuring they reflect current requirements and standards.
- Write and optimise complex SQL (or Salesforce SOQL) queries to interpret data, deliver insights, and provide expert advice on data challenges.
- Partner with Salesforce Analysts and Architects to identify existing data structures, relationships, flows, lineage, and definitions.
- Identify and address data gaps, structure requirements for new data, and oversee processes for data derivation, cleansing, and conversion.
- Design physical data tables with appropriate primary keys and data types.
- Manage tasks using Azure DevOps, ensuring daily alignment with project goals.
- Support the implementation of new or modified data solutions with the broader project team.
- Review and provide feedback on reporting requirements and solution architecture design.
Mandatory Experience & Skills
- 3+ years' experience in data modelling for enterprise platforms, particularly Salesforce.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling principles, including canonical data modelling concepts.
- Expertise in SQL/SOQL development and performance tuning.
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, features, and optimal use cases.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid development methodologies.
Qualifications
- Formal qualifications or certifications in data modelling, data architecture, or Salesforce platform administration/development.
