About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a prominent organization as a Configuration Management Analyst. In this role, you will take ownership of maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and governance of configuration data across the organization’s IT environment. You will ensure that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) accurately reflects current infrastructure, applications, and services, directly supporting effective IT service management, risk control, and strategic decision-making.
Key Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience working directly with CMDB platforms, specifically ServiceNow CMDB.
A strong, foundational understanding of ITIL frameworks, particularly across Configuration, Change, Incident, and Asset Management.
Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and lifecycle management.
Practical experience with IT infrastructure, applications, and service modeling, with a strong preference for Common Service Data Model (CSDM) knowledge.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
The ability to effectively manage and collaborate with stakeholders across both technical and business teams.
Prior experience supporting audits, compliance, or risk controls (highly desirable).
ITIL Foundation 4 certification or ITIL Intermediate Courses
ServiceNow Certification (specifically Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) (CISDF)) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, your day-to-day duties will involve:
Governing and maintaining the CMDB to guarantee that configuration items (CIs) and their relationships remain accurate and up to date.
Enforcing standardized configuration management processes aligned with ITIL and internal organizational benchmarks.
Collaborating cross-functionally with IT operations, asset management, change management, and architecture teams to oversee CI lifecycle changes.
Executing regular data quality checks and driving remediation activities focused on completeness, correctness, and compliance.
Supporting compliance and audit initiatives by delivering reliable CMDB evidence and reporting.
Investigating and resolving complex data discrepancies, system integration issues, and CI reconciliation conflicts.
Generating insights, dashboards, and reporting to support operational and governance forums.
Fostering continuous improvement for configuration management processes, tooling, and control systems.
Supporting seamless system integrations between ServiceNow, discovery tools, asset systems, and architecture tools like LeanIX.
Providing clear guidance, training, and education to stakeholders regarding CMDB standards and data ownership.
