Call Centre Operator - Bereavement Services (6-Month Contract)

We are seeking compassionate and empathetic individuals to join a leading Bank as Call Centre Operators within a Bereavement Services team. This is a 6-month contract position located in Melbourne's CBD, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity after training (8 weeks). You will play a pivotal role in supporting clients who are navigating one of the most difficult times of their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls from customers who require assistance with bereavement services.
- Provide empathetic, clear, and effective communication to clients during sensitive times.
- Assist clients with navigating account processes, claim procedures, and required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all compliance and privacy regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while offering emotional support and guidance.
To be Successful in this Role, You Will Have:
- A strong sense of empathy and the ability to remain calm and supportive in emotionally charged situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous customer service experience, ideally in a call centre or support role.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
Additional Information:
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Hybrid working model after completion of training. (8 weeks)
- 6-month contract with the potential for extension or permanent opportunities.
