Location: Melbourne (Collingwood base) with required travel
Are you a highly driven, experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the Hospitality Equipment Industry?
A globally recognized, premium Italian home appliance brand, with a strong established presence in the Australian market, is seeking a results-focused BDM to lead the sales strategy for their Professional Division in Victoria. This role is perfect for a commercially creative individual who excels at building long-term client relationships and achieving challenging sales targets.
This position is a crucial part of the Victorian team, responsible for both leading sales performance and driving innovative business growth ideas.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
You will be accountable for the daily control and management of the Victorian sales performance, focusing on:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies across the assigned Victorian territory.
Key Account Management: Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts, negotiating and closing agreements with large customers (e.g., Dealers & Multi-Site Chains).
New Business Development: Perform market research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities, actively generating new leads and developing new business.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate with Victorian team members to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and reports for senior management. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to suggest improvements.
Product Expertise: Support the sales process by generating equipment quotations, managing orders in conjunction with internal sales, and providing training and commissioning for sold equipment when required.
Marketing & Shows: Coordinate product demonstrations at the Collingwood showroom and respective Victorian Dealers , and set up Trade Shows as required (some weekend work may be necessary).
Skills and Experience Required
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:
Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager in the hospitality equipment industry.
Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
Strong communication and team management skills.
Analytical skills with an ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics, coupled with a problem-solving attitude.
Availability to travel as required.
A proactive approach to staying up-to-date with new product launches.
