Key Responsibilities
As the Customer Development Manager, you will be primarily responsible for driving sales results and maximizing profitability for your branch.
- New Business Acquisition: Target and secure new contract and one-off sales opportunities from new commercial customers. 
- Account Growth: Proactively identify and execute upselling/cross-selling opportunities within the existing pest control and hygiene customer base. 
- Target Achievement: Meet weekly targets for customer face-to-face visits, quotes submitted, new contract wins/upsells, and monthly net gain targets. 
- Pipeline Management: Always maintain a strong and durable sales pipeline and fully utilise the Client Visitation Planner to identify opportunities and ensure customer retention. 
- Strategic Selling: Drive the company's strategy of delivering SMART Pest Control technology to both new and existing customers. 
- Reporting: Provide accurate and on-time weekly reporting of sales activity and continuously monitor individual targets. 
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking a driven individual who understands the sales process intimately and possesses a strong commercial focus.
Essential:
- Proven Sales Experience: Strong understanding and experience with the entire sales process, including cold calling, converting, closing sales, follow-up, and planning. 
- Results Focused: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales budgets and deadlines. 
- Self-Management: Exceptional self-motivation, time management, and planning skills. 
- Communication: Excellent client liaison, strong oral, and written communication skills. 
- Technical Literacy: Strong IT skills, particularly with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
- Basic understanding of Financial/Budget knowledge and processes. 
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications in Business or Sales Management. 
- A current working understanding of the Hygiene and Pest Control Industry.
