About the Centre
Our client is located in the Yarriambiack Shire Council, Victoria near Horsham. This is a brand new 57 place purpose built centre which opened in January 2025. The centre provides the community with Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs as well as long day care. The centre has outdoor play areas as well as a community space for local child and family services such as maternal and child health consulting.

The Opportunity
This is a dynamic, combined Assistant Director and Educational Leader position. You'll work closely with the Director to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service, stepping up to lead when the Director is unavailable. Your key responsibilities will include:
... - Leading educational practices and ensuring exceptional learning experiences across all age groups, aligning with approved frameworks and pedagogical priorities.
- Fostering a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture.
- Coaching and mentoring all team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with all National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards.
- Supporting operational activities such as enrollments, budgeting, expenses, and staffing (including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development).
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with families and children within a warm, caring, and secure environment.
Rewards & Recognition
Salary band of $86,038 - $109,521
To support your transition, we're offering:
- A $5,000 workforce attraction bonus for all new starters.

About You
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
- Proven management and leadership experience within an early childhood setting.
- A strong understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Child Safe Standards, and all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with parents, children, team members, and the wider community.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting, mentoring, and guiding individuals and teams to implement high-quality practices.
