About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Coordinator to join a creative team at the APS6 level. This role is ideal for someone with demonstrated experience managing video and animation production in a creative or agency setting. You will play a key role in overseeing production logistics, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery of multimedia content aligned with government communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end video and/or animation production processes across multiple projects.
Manage production logistics including schedules, location bookings, talent coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Lead procurement processes such as sourcing quotes, raising purchase orders, and tracking vendor performance and deliverables.
Collaborate with creative teams to develop and maintain production documentation such as briefs, run sheets, and production schedules.
Communicate effectively with both creative and non-creative stakeholders, ensuring clarity on project timelines, goals, and deliverables.
Monitor project progress and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ensure productions adhere to relevant policies, timelines, budgets, and government protocols.
Key Skills and Experience (Required)
Demonstrated experience coordinating video and/or animation production in a creative or agency environment.
Strong organisational and logistical planning skills.
Experience managing procurement processes including vendor liaison and financial tracking.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong understanding of production workflows and documentation.
Ability to work independently, handle multiple concurrent projects, and adapt to shifting priorities.
Desirable Attributes
Experience working within an Australian Government agency or familiarity with Australian Government communication protocols.
Knowledge of accessibility standards for video production (e.g. captions, transcripts, audio description).
Proficiency with project management and content tracking tools, as well as Office 365 (e.g. SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
Understanding of copyright, consent, and media usage rights.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and Media Encoder (basic exposure is beneficial but not essential).
