About the Role
As a key member of a high-impact team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of a national mental health website. Your work will help improve how Australians find and access care, aligning with recent national recommendations. You’ll also play a vital role in ensuring the platform remains user-focused, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Commonwealth procurement and contract processes in line with CPRs, including drafting documentation, managing evaluations, and ensuring legislative compliance
- Prepare and manage contracts, variations, and grant documentation, including Grant Opportunity Guidelines
- Contribute to the delivery and enhancement of key digital tools such as:
- A national mental health service navigation website
- The Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST)
- Support the implementation of reforms from the Digital Navigation Project.
- Liaise with stakeholders across PHNs, sector partners, service providers, and lived experience groups to ensure practical implementation and co-design
- Draft high-quality correspondence, briefings, contracts, and guidance material
- Conduct user acceptance testing for website and tool updates
- Monitor usage and uptake data to inform improvements
- Support rollout of tool adaptations (e.g. for different age groups) and work with PHNs to embed them in service delivery
- Contribute to program delivery across related national initiatives (e.g. Kids Hubs, Mental Health Centres)
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in procurement and contract management in a government context
- Strong policy development and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication, writing, and briefing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Familiarity with digital or mental health policy is highly desirable
Strong judgement, analytical ability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
