About the Roles
Randstad is seeking engineers, scientists, or candidates with equivalent work experience to support hands-on testing of medical devices in our specialist laboratory.
Help the mission of ensuring the safety and performance of medical devices available in Australia. This team conducts laboratory testing under specific quality standards, contributing to regulatory investigations, post-market surveillance, and safety monitoring.
You will:
Conduct hands-on testing and analysis of medical devices
Contribute to risk-based regulatory decisions
Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation
Collaborate with experts across engineering, science, and regulation
Participate in the development of national and international device standards
Your work will directly impact public health and safety through evidence-based regulatory actions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct scientific/engineering investigations of medical devices
Design and deliver laboratory testing projects
Draft technical reports and provide expert advice
Undertake peer reviews and support continuous improvement
Stay current with new testing technologies and methodologies
Collaborate with colleagues to meet project timelines and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates will bring:
A strong foundation in scientific and/or engineering principles
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Analytical thinking and a risk-based approach to problem-solving
A team-first mindset with flexibility in a dynamic environment
Ability to work across technical disciplines and build productive relationships
Experience with regulatory standards, ISO systems, or testing frameworks is highly desirable.
