About the Opportunity
Are you a commercially savvy sales professional with a passion for the upholstered furniture and home lifestyle industry? We are seeking a high-caliber Account Manager to join our global team in Melbourne.
In this role, you will be the primary link between our world-class manufacturing capabilities and our extensive network of retail partners across Australia. We are one of the world's largest sofa manufacturers and leather upholstery specialists, and we need a results-driven professional to drive our Shop-in-Shop (SIS) concepts and retail expansion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Partner Management: Manage and grow relationships with existing retail partners and sales partners across the ANZ region.
Channel Strategy: Oversee the successful implementation of our Shop-in-Shop (SIS) concepts to ensure brand consistency and maximum sales impact.
Product Positioning: Act as the expert on our diverse range of leather and fabric sofas, motorised recliners, and home furnishing solutions.
Business Development: Identify and secure new retail opportunities to expand our market scale in line with our vision of "A Sofa for Every Home".
Sales Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to provide actionable insights to our international design and R&D teams.
Operational Excellence: Utilize SAP and other internal systems to manage orders, forecasting, and localized responses for our partners.
Who You Are
The Industry Expert: You have a proven track record in B2B wholesale or retail account management, ideally within furniture, home decor, or luxury lifestyle goods.
Relationship Focused: You excel at building enduring relationships with stakeholders and can navigate a vertically integrated supply chain.
Analytical & Strategic: You use data to identify growth opportunities and are comfortable managing high-volume retail points.
Innovative Thinker: You thrive in an environment that values R&D and technical expertise, with the ability to promote products that combine "leather and steel" into functional art.
Key Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a similar account management or business development role within a premium retail-focused environment.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of retail economics, inventory management, and profit-margin growth.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools and a strong advantage if experienced with SAP.
Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to represent a global leader in the home furnishing space.
