- VPS3 rate - between $50.05-$60.77 + super

About the Role
Our client is a Victorian Government organisation working to improve how Victorians and businesses interact with the state government by streamlining and digitising services. They are currently seeking a Finance Officer to come in and join their team in the Melbourne CBD on an immediate start contract role until last December with possibility for extension.
Candidates for this role must have strong Accounts Receivables, and Reconciliations experience, coupled with GEM System experience (part of salesforce).
As the Finance Officer you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of finance, accounts receivable, reconciliation and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities will include
- Accounts Receivable and Reconciliation: Ensure the complete and accurate collection, processing, and reporting of registration and licensing revenue, including daily reconciliation of all payment types (cash, cheque, credit card, EFTPOS) and system adjustments.
- Billing and Trust Fund Management: Assist the Senior Finance Officer with the accurate billing, collection, processing, reconciling, and reporting of all revenue, specifically including the management of CAV Trust Fund revenue (interest paid/payable).
- Customer Service and Query Resolution: Monitor and resolve customer queries regarding accrued revenue matters and efficiently process customer refunds.
- Financial Reporting and Budgeting: Generate accurate and timely financial reports and budgets specifically for registration and licensing revenue to provide a clear financial overview.
- Stakeholder Liaison and Issue Resolution: Act as a key internal contact to develop effective working relationships with the Customer and Regulatory Services group and resolve revenue issues with internal and external stakeholders on a timely basis.
- Policy Support and Administrative Duties: Assist in the development and management of effective financial and accounting policies and procedures, and perform essential daily banking and administrative duties (e.g., ordering stores, stocktakes).
About You
You will be an experienced Finance Officer with proven experience and reliability in Accounts Receivable and reconciliations.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Knowledge and experience with GEM System (part of sales force)
- Strong Accounts Receivable and Reconciliations experience
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Collaborative Problem Solving ability
- Resilience and Communication skills
