Primary Duties

User Interface (UI) Design and Development:

• Design, prototype, and implement responsive and high-performance user interfaces.
• Conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions, ensuring the interface meets the functional and operational needs of users.
• Translate complex data and system controls into intuitive and effective visual designs.

Front-End Engineering:

• Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web-based user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code.
• Integrate UI components with back-end APIs and data services.
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

Strategic Contribution:

• Establish and maintain a consistent design system, including style guides and component libraries, to standardise the user experience across all our products.
• Advocate for a user-centred design process within the organisation and help define the future of our client's software's user experience.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript
• Proficiency with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience with a modern UI design tool (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git or DevOps

• Soft Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to simplify complex data and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a design process that includes user research and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams in a structured product development or project engineering environment is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Experience working in a regulated industry or on software for Defence, aerospace, or scientific applications.
• Familiarity with data visualisation principles and libraries.
• Experience with 3D visualisation and simulation software.
