About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our supportive and skilled Work Health and Safety (WHS) team. This exciting role will see you travel around the beautiful Sydney and East Coast of New South Wales, providing specialist health, safety, and wellbeing advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate injury and claims management skills, including complex and advanced return-to-work case management.
- Coordinate early intervention services to support recovery at work.
- One day per month required in the Wollongong office - team event
- Conduct onsite physical/functional and worksite assessments to develop return-to-work pathways.
- Analyze and interpret clinical information to support recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
- Communicate with treatment providers, including treating doctors and allied health professionals (physical and psychological), to facilitate recovery and return to work.
- Maintain injury management notes and records in a secure and confidential manner.
- Contribute to our Safer Workplace Projects, including delivering training on claims management, rehabilitation, return to work, safety, and wellbeing.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Tertiary qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Health Professional, or similar. Post-graduate qualifications in Ergonomics, Health, or similar are desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in workplace-based rehabilitation and assessment.
- Extensive experience in recovery-at-work planning and coordination.
- Skilled in workers' compensation claims and injury management.
- High-level facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and guidelines, as well as workers' compensation legislation (NSW, ACT & QLD).
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating wellbeing programs.
- A current driver’s license.
