The Role
Primary Training Lead tasks include:
- manage and coordinate project related training support system activities, tasks and phases,
- assist with the preparation of training related project briefs and planning artefacts,
- lead the development and execution of training support concepts as necessary,
- conduct agile project planning with the Strategic Partner,
- conduct detailed training planning and coordination with relevant RAAF organisations and units,
- effectively engage with project stakeholders, OEMs, and third-party providers as required,
- coordinate and conduct training related reviews, User Acceptance Testing and quality assurance activities,
- organise relevant extant in-service training for key RAAF stakeholder groups
- support the project with advice and guidance relating to training plans, SADL deliverables and Gate submission documents
Secondary responsibilities include:
- maintain mechanisms and tools such as training systems, PREDICT risk registers, SharePoint/Web tools, scheduling of deliverables, and maintenance of related budgets and cost models (as relevant to training),
- exercise appropriate technical control to support ILSM accountabilities to Project Managers, and
- store information appropriately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
The relevant person is to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as a minimum. However, advanced qualifications in workforce development, adult education or workplace training is highly desired. Supporting qualifications in project management is also highly desirable.
Essential Criteria:
- Understanding of the SADL and current and emerging approaches to Defence training.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Experience and working appreciation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS).
- Appreciation of technical training approaches.
