Role: Technology Risk Specialist
Are you passionate about managing technology and technical risk across large-scale transformation programs? We're looking for an experienced Technology Risk Specialist to join a high-performing team that’s delivering one of the most significant digital and operational transformation initiatives in the industry.
This role sits within the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and will play a critical part in uplifting and embedding mature risk and control practices, ensuring delivery confidence and strong governance. You'll work closely with stakeholders from delivery, risk, and technology teams, as well as external vendors, to manage both execution and delivered risks across the program.
What You’ll Be Doing
... - Develop and implement effective technology risk management strategies across the transformation program.
- Build strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders to drive a mature risk culture.
- Lead the identification, analysis, and reporting of risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions (RAIDD).
- Provide insights and advice to support informed decision-making and delivery assurance.
- Maintain and manage program-related risk items in tools such as Archer or similar GRC systems.
- Shape and deliver impactful risk communications and reporting for senior leadership.
- Support internal and external assurance activities and contribute to audit readiness.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Solid understanding of risk frameworks, controls, and escalation practices in technical or IT environments.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivery support.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical risk clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in complex and fast-moving transformation or technology environments.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on generating insights and supporting decision-making.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Risk, Technology, or Business.
- Experience working in an Enterprise Project or Program Management Office.
- Background in major program delivery, ideally within regulated industries.
