The role
Our Federal Government client is seeking multiple (8) Technical Business Analysts who will assist in the delivery of diverse and varied projects, centred around a large-scale digital transformation that is currently underway. Building relationships and business acumen are two of your key skills that you use to support the team in delivering positive outcomes for the agency.
Collaborate with program, business, and technical stakeholders to discover, define, validate, prioritise, and manage requirements that align with architectural strategies.
Analyse and structure requirements to identify dependencies, relationships, and logical sequences.
Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, simple terms.
Develop subject matter expertise in the implemented system through documentation review, hands-on exploration, and engagement with technical experts.
Prepare business analysis artefacts, including risk assessments, scope and process models, data analysis, and sequence diagrams.
Support stakeholder analysis and engagement to understand cross-functional needs.
Conduct quality reviews of specifications and designs, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Support the translation of requirements into deliverables and project tasks.
Assist in documenting systems and solutions developed by the team.
Maintain an outcome-driven and customer-focused approach, constructively challenging the business when needed.
Work collaboratively with technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party providers.
Operate independently with minimal supervision as a senior team member.
Contribute to the Business Analyst Community of Practice to improve methodologies.
Manage competing priorities and urgent tasks calmly and efficiently while upholding high standards.
The Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years, working in a similar role performing business analysis activities including workshop facilitation, supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with technical SME's to define and obtain an understanding of business needs, technical constraints, and technical concepts and present them in simple terms.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing multiple business stakeholders, establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders, and effectively liaise and keep stakeholders informed and engaged, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven experience in roles relating to cloud platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services) including delivery of new services, and mobile application and/or web application development.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, cultivating productive working relationships across multiple projects and business areas.
- Experience in one of the following areas: mobile applications and or web application development, SAS tools or data platforms.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in Government or providing services to Government agency.
- Demonstrated experience and flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall processes to deliver projects.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing and fast paced environment with challenging deadlines.
- Experience with Salesforce platforms.
