The Role
We are seeking an experienced professional with an advisory/consulting background and broad exposure to transformation programs, procurement, stakeholder engagement, and business case development to join a high-impact modernisation program. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact across one or more delivery streams: Transformation, Business Analysis, Procurement, or Financials. Exposure to two or more of these delivery streams is essential.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support cross-functional workstreams (Transformation, Business Analysis, Procurement, or Financials) based on your experience and strengths.
- Lead or co-facilitate stakeholder workshops, mapping requirements, surfacing risks, and building shared understanding.
- Translate strategic direction into fit-for-purpose plans and delivery actions, coordinating dependencies across teams.
- Develop clear artefacts such as procurement documents, business requirement documents, commercial principles, or financial models, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Assist in procurement planning and execution including RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, contract alignment, and evaluation coordination.
- Bring structure to ambiguity, working in environments with evolving requirements and limited documentation.
- Help uplift internal capability through practical guidance, templates, and knowledge transfer.
- Develop and organise material for meetings such as briefing presentations, reports updates etc
- Maintain Program probity requirements.
- Support interface with Procurement Branch, Probity Advisors, Legal Counsel & external agencies.
- Other activities as directed by the Project Manager and Director Corporate System.
Essential criteria
- Consulting on complex programs – Lead consultative engagements across assigned workstreams (e.g. workshop facilitation) with senior leaders. End to end experience in discovery, design and delivery of projects. Produce high quality reports/documents across a range of formats.
- 8+ years across complex programs with a broad experience spanning at least two of - transformation, business analysis, procurement and financials:
- Transformation - Lead engagements spanning digital, ICT, workforce, services or human capital transformation. End to end experience in transformation project delivery.
- Business Analysis – Experience in gathering for business, functional, technical requirements. Traceability, workshop facilitation, change management, planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Procurement – Experience in Commonwealth Procurement including planning and execution in compliance with the Commonwealth ICT Investment Framework, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and Agency Procurement Guidelines (or similar).
- Financials – experience in developing budget cost plans and forecasts. Monitor and manage expenditure (actual & forecast). Provide advice on financial planning, budgeting, and project costing.
- Confident facilitator and communicator, able to work with both executives and delivery teams.
- Comfortable navigating uncertainty, legacy constraints, and diverse stakeholder views.
- Highly proficient in MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
