OO6 Supervisor – Mechanical/Electrical Projects | Cannon Hill
Randstad is proud to partner with a major provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor at the OO6 level for a full-time position based in Cannon Hill, with an expected duration through to December 2025 with likely extension.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical replacement works across school facilities in South East Queensland. This is a dynamic, office-based position that involves high-level coordination between contractors, schools, and internal teams to ensure timely, safe, and compliant project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Supervise the delivery of construction, upgrade, and maintenance projects with a focus on HVAC and electrical systems.
- Manage contractor communications and school correspondence related to project progress, condition reports, and completion timelines.
- Provide high-quality estimates, tenders, scopes, and quotes for building projects via government procurement systems.
- Ensure all project documentation complies with WH&S standards including SWMS and risk assessments.
- Monitor internal/external correspondence, manage a shared mailbox, and ensure timely responses to stakeholders.
- Work closely with WHS Advisors to promote a consistent safety approach.
- Contribute to a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Trade background in Mechanical or Electrical is highly desirable.
- Proven supervisory experience in construction or building maintenance projects.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate cost estimates and project documentation.
- Strong administrative skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and MS Teams.
- Familiarity with government procurement platforms and value-for-money checks.
- Current Open Class C Driver’s Licence (QLD).
- Current or in-progress Blue Card.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with KPIs and performance measures.
- Current Australian working rights (evidence required in application)
Highly Regarded:
- Construction industry-related trade qualification.
- Experience working on HVAC or air conditioning system replacement projects.
