About the role:
Lead strategic sales and capture activities for EOS Space Systems across the APAC region, focusing on Defence and dual-use space technologies. Drive market engagement, customer acquisition, and long-term partnerships aligned with EOS global growth strategy.
This role leads the end-to-end capture process, from opportunity identification through to bid submission and contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer needs. With a strong background in Space based strategic sales and business, develop your ability to translate complex technical capabilities into mission-relevant solutions will be key to building trust and securing long-term contracts.
Success in this role requires fluency in the space industry vernacular, including SSA/SDA, optical tracking systems, and laser-based technologies, as well as a deep understanding of the operational and strategic priorities of Defence and commercial space stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capture planning and execution for high-value opportunities in the space and defence sectors.
- Conduct regular and thorough market competitive analysis to identify potential business opportunities.
- Oversee end-to-end bid process, including preparation of bid proposals for decision point approvals process.
- Engage with Defence procurement frameworks (e.g., ASDEFCON) and ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate proposal development, including technical, commercial, and legal inputs.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform positioning and value propositions.
Key Attributes:
- Ideally 7 years + of experience in business development, sales, or capture management in the space, cyber or aerospace sectors.
- Familiarity with the competitive marketplace, internal governance procedures, and legislation around the use of AI in bid management.
- Effective use of CRM and CPQ systems to provide accurate pipeline forecasting, reporting and streamlined quoting proposals.
- Demonstrated success in winning complex bids in government and/or commercial markets in the Space Industry.
- Strong understanding of Australian and APAC region procurement environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Aerospace, Business, and Engineering related field preferred
In order to be considered for this role, Australian citizenship and a minimum of an NV1 clearance is essential
