About the Role
The following tasks and required skills to achieve them for the duration of this engagement are:
... - Maintenance and use of the Land Combat System Standards Repository.
- Maintenance and use of the Land Data Model conformance tool.
- Writing software specification/interface documentation.
- Maintenance and development of specified Land Combat System Standards.
- Contributing to the management of specified Land Combat System and external to the ADF Standards.
- Contributing to the monitoring of specified Land Combat System and external to the ADF Standards.
- Support the provision of expert advice to Defence staff on standards implementation options with a focus on capability outcomes.
- Providing expert advice to military vehicle projects in both acquisition and sustainment through their designated procurement agency for Land Combat System Standards implementation.
- Be prepared to support the development of test cases to support standards conformance testing.
- Other software engineering/development tasks as required by Director Land Network Integration- Army or appointed delegate.
- Provide other ad hoc services as tasked by the LNIC Military Executive group.
About You
- Ability to maintain, manage and monitor a wide variety of Land Combat System standards.
- Software Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Detailed systems development programming experience in multiple languages.
- Experience with network programming using either socket or middleware abstraction.
- Experience writing software documentation.
- Ability to communicate software engineering concepts and designs to military customers and non-software vendor representatives.
