The Town of Gawler is looking for reliable, motivated, and hands-on individuals to join our team as a Skate Marshall at the Gawler Sport & Community Centre.
We’re especially looking for someone with skating experience and a genuine passion for sharing the fun of skating with others. Whether you're helping beginners build their confidence on skates, or creating an exciting atmosphere during public sessions, which could also include skating birthday parties, you’ll play a key role in promoting active, healthy, and connected lifestyles with members of the community and areas.
The role of a Skate Mashall is perfect for someone looking to start or grow a career in the sport and recreation industry or looking to expand their skills with a love for skating.
What You’ll Be Doing
What does a Skate Marshall do?
... - Ensures the safety of skaters at public roller skating sessions assisting for the smooth running of the sessions including skating birthday parties
- Supports public engagement during the skating games to ensure safety for everyone
- Prepare and serve food or beverages according to health and safety standards
Supporting the day-to-day running of programs and facility operations with energy and professionalism, in line with our policies.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is practical, proactive, and community-minded. To be successful in the role, you’ll need:
- Working With Children Check

- First Aid HLTAID011
- CPR HLTAID009
