The Opportunity
Join a global Talent Function of a leading financial services company in a critical Subject Matter Expert(SME) capacity as the Senior Consultant – Talent Governance. This role acts as the central authority for all risk, controls, and process obligations across the entire Talent portfolio.
You will be instrumental in a major project to implement new technology, including AI automation, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Talent. A primary focus will be on elevating the maturity of risk practices throughout the global Talent function, specifically by leading the continuous monitoring of AI decision-making.
Responsibilities
This transformation’s core responsibilities include designing essential processes,establishing robust risk controls, and creating transparent reporting to manage and preempt emerging risks, ultimately resulting in a reduction of the overall Risk Profile, effective resolution of identified issues, and the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights from AI decision monitoring.
... - AI and Technology Governance: Collaborate with technology specialists to design, build, and continuously monitor AI decision outcomes across Talent Acquisition, Skills, Careers, and Talent Management. Define clear governance, reporting, and RACI structures for new solutions.
- Risk Leadership: Act as the lead SME for managing both current and emerging risks within the Talent portfolio, driving all related risk mitigation and action planning.
- Process & Reporting Excellence: Design and document end-to-end Talent workflows, with a specific focus on AI and technology processes. Produce comprehensive monthly reporting on all Talent risks for the governance forum.
- Compliance & Improvement: Lead review meetings dedicated to continuous improvement and ensuring strict adherence to the organisation’s model risk framework.
- Vendor Management: Drive SME knowledge and governance around Talent procurement and the management of contingent and contractor vendors, processes, and policies.
What You'll Bring (Essential Capabilities)
- Advanced Stakeholder Relationship Management: Proven experience engaging and influencing executive leadership (e.g., Head of Talent Acquisition, Executive - Talent).
- Expert Knowledge of Risk and Controls within a highly regulated environment.
- Advanced Process Design Skills for complex, cross-functional organisational workflows.
- Practical, applied Knowledge of AI principles relevant to HR/Talent functions.
- A strong track record in governing and managing contingent/contractor vendors, processes, and policies.
- SME knowledge in Talent procurement and agency management.
