Do you love to work with Strategy, Policy, Legislation, Ministerials and/or Briefings?

I have several contract opportunities at the moment for experienced senior Policy Officers and Cabinet & Parliamentary Support Officers with government background, exceptional writing skills and sound policy, briefings and ministerial support skills. If this is YOU, please read on.

Various duties and responsibilities include:

• Updating of existing policies, reviewing against existing and/or new legislation
• Development and writing of new policies
• Leading research and analysis to inform policy papers and consultation material
• Managing the preparation of internal and ministerial briefings, reports and policy discussion papers
• Preparation of parliamentary briefings and cabinet submissions
• General administration and/or project support duties

Ideally you will possess:

• Experience with policy development and legislation within government
• An ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and/or remotely
• Sound research and analytical skills to apply judgment and advice on important issues
• Extensive stakeholder engagement and ability to provide advice on complex matters to the executive and the minister
• Government experience and/or legal background is highly desirable
