Our client, a major regulatory body, is seeking an experienced and personable Senior Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity to manage the full end-to-end payroll function and contribute to a supportive corporate environment.

About the role

• Managing the complete end-to-end fortnightly payroll cycle for approximately 700 employees.
• Accurately interpreting and applying multiple Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and industrial instruments.
• Performing all payroll processing duties, including higher-level responsibilities like reconciliations, reporting, and manual data entry where necessary.
• Utilizing iChris payroll system experience to ensure efficient and compliant processing.
• Providing guidance and support to the Payroll Officer and serving as a key point of contact for complex payroll queries.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all statutory obligations and internal policies.

About you

• Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer, managing full end-to-end payroll for a high headcount.
• Essential experience with the iChris payroll system.
• Essential experience and confidence in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements.
• A personable, team-player attitude with excellent communication skills.
• The ability to demonstrate initiative and agency, taking ownership of tasks and processes.
• Ability to successfully clear a Police Check.
