About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Media Advisor to join a high-performing Corporate Communications team. This pivotal role is instrumental in building and enhancing our client's brand and reputation through proactive and positive engagement with traditional media. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media plans, driving positive public relations initiatives, and expertly managing reactive media inquiries to protect the organisation's standing. This role demands a proactive approach, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
Key Accountabilities
... - Drive proactive public relations programs to maximise positive sentiment and brand recognition.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of proactive public relations activities and supporting materials.
- Plan and pitch compelling stories to media outlets to generate positive coverage.
- Manage reactive media inquiries and develop timely, accurate media statements.
- Participate in a rotating on-call roster to provide essential media support for incidents.

Desirables

A relevant qualification in marketing, communication, or a related field is highly desirable.
