Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Designer you will:
- Mechanical design from feasibility through to detailed design
- Detailed design of mechanical elements, such as conveyors, surge bins, chutes and transfer stations
- Collaborate with the broader team toensure coordination and integration of mechanical elements with overall plant design
- Prepare design drawings for fabrication where required.
Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical)
- 6+ years experience in design engineering for mining and resources
- Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries
- Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore
- Knowledge of industry standards for mechanical design in the Australian mining sector
- Experienced with design software packages such as MicroStation and Prosteel
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards
