Champion Community Investment: Take the lead in managing our vital grants and subsidies programs, ensuring funding flows accurately and effectively to local councils and library services.
Shape the Future: Drive the annual budget preparation process and contribute your insights to our long-term, 5-year financial strategy.
Lead and Inspire: Oversee and mentor a talented Finance Officer, fostering their growth while ensuring your team delivers timely, high-quality support.
Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert financial advice and support to our leaders, managers, and the Libraries Board, guiding key decisions and ensuring robust financial governance.
Drive Excellence: Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, assist with compelling business cases, and ensure our procurement and risk management practices are second to none.
What You'll Bring

Proven financial management skills, particularly in budget preparation, planning, and reporting.
A strong understanding of government accounting standards and financial policies.
The ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with everyone from senior leaders to local council staff.
A talent for working independently, setting priorities, and finding solutions.
Experience with financial management systems and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
