About the role
An immense growth in their Banking and Financial Services portfolio has led them to run major data transformation programmes. Hence an exciting opportunity has come up in their offices in Australia. They are urgently looking for two Senior Data Analysts to provide critical support to their growing portfolio and provide a robust data management structure in their growing team. You would need to have previous work experience with data governance activities, involved in driving data change initiatives and deliver key insights on downstream and upstream data impacts and providing information to the stakeholders to make informed business decisions.
Skill Sets
You need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:
- Proven experience in data analysis, data modelling and governance within complex enterprise environments (preferably in the big 4 banks).
- Hands-on expertise with Python, SQL, Teradata, Erwin Data Modeler, big data technologies like Hadoop
- Good understanding of end-to-end domain and technology architecture in the banking retail banking domain (preferably in the big 4 banks).
- Previous hands-on experience in data quality tools (e.g. Oracle OEDQ or Informatica Cloud Data Quality)
- Experience with data migration, profiling, and assurance in large transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis efforts across several initiatives within the data migration.
- Coordinate and run data provisioning, assessment, assurance, profiling, modelling, architecture, and migration activities.
- Experience in running workshop on data analysis with key stakeholders
- Source and review data models across upstream and downstream systems to assess migration impacts. Develop and maintain data models, flow diagrams, and data dictionaries
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business requirements into practical data specifications.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Well versed in data governance and risk management across the program lifecycle.
