About the Project

You’ll be assigned to a high-profile $20M commercial new build – a technically challenging project involving structural steel, post-tensioned concrete, and a full roof replacement with minimal tolerances. The project is in the early pre-construction phases, and your role will be to oversee the full procurement process and full delivery of the project through to handover. The Role
As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Project Manager to ensure smooth delivery. You’ll take ownership of early preconstruction procurement, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement strategy, and contract administration across all stages of the project. This will be a site based position, and you will have a Contract Administrator on your team to manage.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end subcontractor procurement and negotiation
Manage head contract and subcontract progress claims, variations, and RFIs
Liaise closely with the site and design teams to track budgets, scope changes, and compliance
Maintain accurate financial reporting and forecasting
Drive commercial outcomes while mitigating risk
About You
5+ years experience as a Contracts Administrator on new build commercial projects - you will need existing knowledge of Australian building codes and processes.
Proven success managing contracts for complex projects $10M+
Excellent communication, financial acumen, and attention to detail
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline
Ability to work in a high-performance team environment
GC21 contract experience would be advantageous
- Strong with construction management software - experience using Cheops and Procore would be beneficial although training can be provided.
