The Role
The Senior Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing all contractual and financial aspects of a new build school project. Working closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors, and consultants, the successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. If you are a Contract Administrator looking to take a step up to a Senior CA role and lead the delivery of a project - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities Include:
End-to-end contract administration, from procurement through to project finalisation
Preparation, negotiation, and management of subcontractor agreements
Assessment and processing of variations, claims, and progress payments
Regular cost reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking
Liaison with clients and consultants to ensure contractual obligations are met
Commercial risk management and support to the wider project team
What experience do I need?
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract administration within the commercial construction industry (not just the residential sector)
Demonstrated experience working on new build projects, with strong working knowledge of contracts and Australian building codes and standards
High attention to detail, strong negotiation skills with subcontractors, stakeholder management and the ability to work autonomously
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
