A major government department is seeking a Communications Lead to join a high-profile, transformational data program. This position sits within a key business unit responsible for strategy, performance, and reporting.
This multi-year initiative will establish the organisation’s first centralised, unified data repository. The goal is to provide trusted, timely information to frontline and corporate staff, empowering them to make evidence-informed decisions that support the delivery of quality services.
As the Communications Lead, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and delivery of all communications and marketing activities for this program. This is a critical role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of stakeholder needs.
You will work closely with the Organisational Change Management (OCM) lead to ensure communications are not only informative but also actively support stakeholders throughout the change process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all communications activities, including strategic planning, project communications, marketing, and reputation management for the program.
Align communication strategy with the OCM needs to effectively support and inform stakeholders through significant change.
Develop and manage a consistent brand for the program that instils confidence and demonstrates relevance to stakeholders.
Ensure the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all messaging and materials across the program's multiple projects.
Manage stakeholder engagement and consultation, working effectively with multiple, diverse stakeholder groups concurrently.
Create and produce a wide range of creative and digital assets, including website content, videos, presentations, and workshop materials.

Proven ability to effectively support the successful delivery of an OCM strategy.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including working with diverse groups and managing competing priorities.
High-level proficiency in creating visual representations of complex concepts and simplifying messaging into plain language for various audiences.
Unwavering attention to detail and a focus on consistency in messaging and branding.
Proven ability to self-manage and prioritise a demanding workload.
