Role Overview
We're seeking a dynamic Scrum Master to lead our clients' agile teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement. In this role, you'll be instrumental in guiding our development efforts, ensuring our projects deliver maximum value. You'll work closely with diverse teams, stakeholders, and product owners, acting as a servant-leader who removes impediments and champions agile best practices.
Mandatory skill:
- Proven Scrum Master Experience: Extensive experience in a Scrum Master role, demonstrating a deep understanding of agile principles and practices.
- Project Management Acumen: Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication, complementing your agile expertise.
- Exceptional Scrum Knowledge: Excellent command of the Scrum framework, its artifacts, and techniques. This includes a thorough understanding of concepts like the Definition of Done, crafting effective user stories, facilitating automated testing, and leading productive backlog refinement sessions.
- Effective Communication & Coordination: Outstanding ability to communicate clearly and coordinate effectively with individuals and teams across various projects. You're skilled at facilitating change and driving alignment.
- Energy & Utilities (E&U) Experience: Experience within the Energy & Utilities sector. This background will allow you to quickly understand our domain-specific challenges and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
As a Scrum Master, you will:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Expertly facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and engaging.
- Coach & Mentor: Guide and coach the development team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values, fostering self organisation and cross-functionality.
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and remove obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly.
- Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, helping the team inspect and adapt their processes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication with product owners, stakeholders, and other interested parties regarding project status, progress, and challenges.
- Support Product Owners: Assist the Product Owner in managing and refining the product backlog to ensure it is clear and ready for development.
- Advocate for Agile: Champion Agile principles and practices throughout the organisation, helping to mature our agile capabilities.
