The Role
This is a full-time position focused on delivering high-quality Science lessons, fostering scientific inquiry, and inspiring a love for STEM subjects across secondary year levels within a student-driven framework.
Develop and deliver captivating lesson plans aligned with the Victorian Science curriculum, supporting both core foundations and deep-learning electives.
Implement practical, inquiry-driven learning experiences that are highly differentiated to cater to diverse learning styles and neurodivergent needs.
Cultivate a safe, supportive, and empowering classroom atmosphere where student voice is championed and every learner feels valued.
Work closely with a collaborative Science faculty to design modern learning experiences, mentor students on their personalised pathways, and facilitate practical laboratory experiments.
Successful Candidate Profile
Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration.
Demonstrated experience or a strong understanding of supporting neurodiverse children, with the ability to employ adaptive and inclusive teaching strategies.
The capability or aspiration to step up into school leadership or pedagogical mentoring responsibilities in the future (highly regarded, though not essential).
Enthusiastic about student-centred education, adaptable, and capable of building strong, positive relationships within a diverse school community.
