About the Role
Join a strategic, fast-paced agile team at a leading university to drive their student experience transformation. This highly technical role is critical to building a 360-degree view of the student journey by leveraging and extending the Salesforce platform and its integrated ecosystem. You will be instrumental in implementing the university's Salesforce roadmap, working within a lean squad environment.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Design and implement technical solutions across the Salesforce platform, primarily utilizing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
Write high-quality, well-structured code using Apex Classes and Apex Triggers.
Build and enhance robust integrations using custom APIs and tools like Mulesoft.
Work within a CI/CD DevOps team, taking ownership of deliverables, continuous enhancement, and platform maintenance.
Ensure secure coding practices are followed and participate in peer reviews to maintain platform maturity and robustness.
Develop clear, useful documentation for all implemented designs and solutions.
Collaborate with Functional Analysts, Design Leads, QA Engineers, and business owners in a fast-paced agile environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on development experience designing, implementing, and supporting Salesforce solutions on cloud applications.
Fluent in Apex programming, with extensive experience developing custom classes and triggers.
Strong practical knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC), Lightning Component Framework, Flow, Process Builder, and Visualforce Pages.
Solid understanding of Salesforce engineering best practices, including source control, branching/merging, and release cycles.
Experience in designing and implementing custom APIs and integration patterns (Mulesoft experience is highly advantageous).
Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and ideation with a pragmatic, user-centred mindset.
Desirable
Direct knowledge of Salesforce Education Cloud is a strong advantage.
Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud products.
Experience in testing and user research within an agile development team.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
