About the Company:
Our client is a global leader in converting energy into sustainable progress and prosperity within the power generation, marine, and processing industries. They provide industrial engines, rotating equipment, and after sales support through over 100 locations worldwide. The company is looking to expand its industrial footprint and service offerings in Australia.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager based in Sydney, you will be responsible for:
- Business development of turbomachinery new equipment sales.
- Providing customer support throughout all sales phases, from concept selection to contract negotiation.
- Liaising closely with product centers in Europe, India, and China, as well as regional sales support functions in APAC.
- Screening inquiries, processing data, preparing quotations, and managing opportunities through to contract closure.
- Regular interaction with customers in face-to-face and Teams meetings.
- Active customer account management of opportunities in SAP-based CRM.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid Australian driver's license.
- To be living and working from Sydney.
- Proven sales experience in positioning and securing new opportunities.
- High level of experience and knowledge of industrial rotating equipment (industrial compressors, expanders, steam and gas turbines).
- Ability and willingness to regularly travel interstate and overseas.
- Knowledge of the Australian market for industrial rotating equipment.
- Excellent customer service, selling, and communication skills.
- Proven record in effective collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly present advanced technical concepts and solutions to a range of stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to translate customer needs to sales success.
- Proven record in a same or similar role.
- Background knowledge of process industry, upstream, and/or downstream applications.
- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in preparing quotations and proposals.
