Randstad is currently seeking multiple Safety Officers to commence a 2 week shutdown in October based in Tumut NSW.
The Safety Officer / Adviser is the right hand of the site Managers, these positions will be responsible for identifying hazards, assess risks to health and safety, put appropriate safety controls in place and provide advice about accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.
The Safety Officer’s will be provided with accommodation and travel for the duration of the project, the roster is for 12 hour shifts across day and nights.
Rate will be $64 on day shift and $84 on nights per hour, plus a $50 daily meal allowance
Responsibilities of the Safety Officer will include, but not limited to:
- Prepare and implement workplace, health and safety plans in accordance with client
- Complete risk assessments, toolbox talks, audits, task observations, safety inspections and incident reports
- Complete and maintain any documentation required for the project
- Provide support to the site contractors
- Manage and develop relationships with contractors and stakeholders
This role would be ideal for candidates that have experience as a safety officer within a blue-collar environment or trade contractors.
