Overview:Working within Federal GovernmentBased in Sydney CBD, 1 minute from Central stationWorking in a large diverse team of new and experienced staff6 month contract (with possible extension)Paying between $43 to $46ph + super!! Role:Managing a caseload of claims/cases, reviewing medical assessments of injuries /illnesses obtained then assessing/linking if they were obtained via employment, for senior staff to determine initial liability. Key duties include:Making initial contact with the applicant/claimant, obtaining client informationReviewing medical assessments and reportsLiaising with internal staff and external medical providersInvestigating claims under specific Acts.Maintaining claims records (uploading evidence into database)Providing advice (verbally and in writing) regarding the status of the claim. Criteria:You must be an Australian Citizen to be employed by this Federal Department.You must have previous experience working within: case administration, case management, claims administration or claims management.Ability to understand applicant eligibility and liability, by reviewing various legislation, policies & procedures.
