    Your New DepartmentA large Commonwealth government department are seeking an experienced APS6 Compliance Officer to join their team on initial 6 month contract - with 12 month extension already approved.Your New PositionAn APS6 Compliance Officer is required to undertake compliance activities to implement the Venture Capital 2021-22 compliance plan.Activities will predominantly include assessing compliance of identified registered early stage venture capital limitedpartnerships (ESVCLPs), venture capital limited partnerships (VCLPs), and Australian fund of funds (AFOFs) across targetareas against legislative requirements and undertaking compliance action to address identified non-compliance.Activities may also include:- analysing compliance trends across ESVCLPs, VCLPs and AFOFs;- preparing summary documents of compliance across programs;- developing communications material to inform and educate partnerships about areas of non-compliance;- undertaking compliance activities on emerging issues across partnerships; and contributing to the priorities of the venture capital section as required.The Compliance Officer will be expected to operate at the equivalent of an APS6 level and will be required to interpret andassess legislation and confidential financial and legal documentation including partnership quarterly and annual returns,share sale agreements and audited financial statements. Skills required for the positions include:Excellent written communication, attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and relate it back to specific legislative requirements.Experience in compliance, regulation, finance and law, plus an understanding of the venture capital industry, are desirable.Benefits of choosing Randstad We value our contractors.
