One of our state government clients is looking for a Taxation Compliance Officer (ASO3/4 - $40-46 per hour) for a short term contract until the 31st of December. We are looking for someone who could potentially start immediately. The Role The Taxation Compliance Officer reports to the Taxation Manager and provides taxation and financial services to clients. Contribute to the provision of professional and timely taxation advice and service to clients to assist in the preparation of BAS AND FBT returns. About YouGovernment experience (desirable) Previous experience in provision of taxation services, including compliance reviews that are legislated under Commonwealth Law.Provide advice and assistance to clients requiring the interpretation and management of their taxation obligations, and communication of relevant changes to taxation laws and rulings.Previous experience in preparing reconciliations and in assisting with the development and implementation of taxation policies and practices.Proficient with MS Project to manage schedules, deadlines and resources.Knowledge of laws and principles associated with GST, FBT, PAYG AND PRT legislation and associated rulings.Ability in liaising effectively and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes .Proven high level communication skills (verbal and written).
