The Opportunity
Following a series of significant project wins, the business is expanding its operations to meet growing demand from key clients for assessment and rectification of climate-related damages—including those caused by bushfires, storms, and floods.
As exclusive recruitment partner, Randstad (Hannah Lovelock) is seeking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor with direct experience in restoration and insurance-based building works.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Team Leader or Project Manager, the Supervisor will oversee daily site operations and play a key role in supporting claims coordinators, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with approved scopes of work. You will liaise with trades, manage construction schedules, and provide ongoing updates and documentation throughout the restoration process.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate trades, site personnel, and subcontractors
Source and procure materials and services in line with project scopes
Raise and manage purchase orders
Conduct thorough site assessments and report on damages
Maintain strict WHS compliance and monitor safe work practices
Perform quality audits to ensure alignment with the National Construction Code
Coordinate and inspect carpentry works in accordance with approved plans
Manage project budgets, generate variations, and reconcile provisional costs
Document site progress and provide regular updates with photographic evidence via internal systems
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Candidate Requirements
Trade qualification or tertiary training in Carpentry or Joinery
Proven experience in construction set-out and WHS compliance
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a recognised building contractor in Australia
Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
Willingness to travel to support high-volume or CAT events
Sound understanding of construction codes and legislative building upgrades
Ability to advise clients on required maintenance and warranty conditions
Full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a drive for career progression
