      ⚡ SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER ⚡We are looking for a senior resource for a pretty great client of ours. You will be a senior resource within the team and will be required to contribute to the planning and implementation of security products, including host based, SIEM and network security in conjunction and consultation with various Consultants. This is a great role if you're looking to work with SME's within the industry and are big on upskilling your skills. Duties of the chosen one: There is an aspect of leadership within this position with regards to the implementation, management and monitoring of managed infrastructure and security tools. This also includes being prepared to lead engineer’s across different platforms.You will be required to provide advice in setting direction for training and development of the cyber security services strategy.Support the leadership team by mentoring team members and Security Operations Centre staff, including training in toolsets.Maintain awareness of emerging threats and offensive techniques.Plan the deployment of security systems and tools.Contribute to the managed services sales and client engagement process which includes presentations, research, scoping and tenders.Provide advice in setting the direction for managed service offerings.Provide leadership in the continuous improvement of security tools and technologies.Support the Client Engagement Manager by collecting, analysing and summarising data and trends.Upgrade and change security systems by monitoring the environment, identifying gaps, evaluating and implementing enhancements in accordance with Service Limits.Maintain service management best practices and processes.Technical Knowledge: Luke Skywalker Level 100Excellent understanding of core security technical fundamentals and principles.Knowledge of cyber security standards, processes, policies and metrics (encompassing network security,application security and data security).Understanding of industry best practices for security architecture frameworks, tools, standards andguidelines.Very good understanding of IP networks and the mechanisms, appliances and controls to protect them.Experience with security risk and compliance frameworks and their technical application.Excellent ability to technically implement secure network solutions in legacy enterprise environments.Familiarity with IT service management best practices and processes.
