Project Officer / Engineer - Flood Restoration
Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to take the lead on impactful infrastructure recovery projects? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Project Officer/Engineer to support the delivery of key flood restoration works for a regional council in Victoria.
About the Role:
In this full-time, fixed-term role, you will work alongside technical teams, contractors, and the Flood Restoration Manager to scope, tender, and deliver a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to apply your project management and engineering expertise on works that directly support community recovery and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Develop detailed contract specifications, tender documentation, and cost estimates.
- Support end-to-end delivery of flood restoration projects within time, budget, and quality parameters.
- Provide technical oversight, advice, and guidance across multiple civil projects.
- Manage contractor and consultant relationships, ensuring compliance with safety, procurement, and project protocols.
- Assist with project set-out, site control, and regular progress reporting.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management (mandatory).
- Proven experience in civil infrastructure or project engineering.
- Strong skills in contract administration, project scoping, and budgeting.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
