We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the initiation phase of multiple ICT projects within a large Queensland Government program. Reporting to the CIO, you will manage concurrent workstreams with a strong focus on driving outcomes within the Queensland Government procurement framework.

This role requires a proactive leader who can rapidly create schedules, budgets, and procurement requirements into measurable results while fostering effective collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the initial Discovery and Planning phases for multiple ICT projects, delivering comprehensive schedules and cost documentation.
• Lead procurement activities in accordance with Queensland Government policy and processes.
• Coordinate vendor engagement and performance to achieve project outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality documentation, reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and ensure requirements are accurately captured and implemented.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Exceptional ability to create efficient schedules and costs.
• Extensive experience with Queensland Government procurement processes.
• The ability to navigate and work within the QLD government Procurement framework to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Experience working across multiple government agencies is highly desirable.
• While technical expertise isn't the primary focus, the ability to work effectively with technical vendors is essential.
