About the Role
Our client is a well-known NSW State Government agency responsible for the Construction, building, and maintenance of physical facilities and resources that support teaching and learning. They are currently seeking 4x Project Managers to come in and join their team in Eveleigh on a 12 month contract with potential for extension.
Candidates for this role must have 5 + years Project Management experience delivering infrastructure projects within the Education, or Health Sectors (Essential), coupled with Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of education infrastructure projects, including new school builds, refurbishments, and upgrades. Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, the role ensures that projects are delivered in line with Departmental policies, stakeholder needs, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager is involved in all phases of the project lifecycle and ensures effective coordination across consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage assigned infrastructure projects or workstreams from planning through to delivery and close-out.
- Coordinate procurement processes and manage consultant and contractor performance to ensure delivery to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, risk registers, contract variations and progress reports.
- Support stakeholder engagement with school staff, community members, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor site works and contractor activities, escalating issues to the Senior Project Manager as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and construction standards.

- Managing delivery risks in dynamic and sometimes operational school environments.
- Ensuring timely responses to issues without compromising compliance or quality.
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with proven experience and reliability in previous roles.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 + years Project Management experience delivering infrastructure projects within the Education, or Health Sectors
- Demonstrated project management experience, ideally in infrastructure or education projects.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement practices and project reporting.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and ability to travel across NSW.
