The Role
The role of a Project Manager is to support the Senior Management Team in the delivery of projects and contribute to overall business activities whilst at all times ensuring these align with the business vision and philosophies.
The Responsibilities
- Lead single or multiple projects with the senior leadership team.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and build strong relationships.
- Contribute to both team efforts and individual tasks.
- Coordinate discipline-specific activities, including project estimating and management plans.
- Stay informed about North's business unit strategies.
- Efficiently manage assigned projects, ensuring scope and detail align with proposals.
- Apply standard practices and procedures within North.
- Assist in client briefings and project delivery.
- Contribute to project reporting and client liaison.
- Understand and manage critical success factors in discipline-specific activities.
- Communicate sensitive information tactfully to clients.
- Maintain up-to-date best practice documentation.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Manage time proactively and demonstrate reliability.
- Achieve time, cost, and quality targets under direction.
- Exhibit cost-consciousness in project management.
- Complete weekly time sheets accurately.
About the Candidate
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skilled in discipline-specific IT software (e.g., Cost X, Mud Shark, Expert Estimation, MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Passionate about the role with a desire to grow within the company.
- Student membership or professional registration with relevant bodies (e.g., Engineers Australia, AIQS, RICS).
- High integrity with confidentiality regarding company and client information.
- Thorough knowledge of company project types.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Self-motivated with efficient job performance capabilities.
