Electrical Project ManagerThe Opportunity
As an Electrical Project Manager for a leading Melbourne Electrical Contractor, you will be pivotal in managing a diverse range of challenging and large-scale projects, including exciting ventures within the Data Centre sector. We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for a hands-on, meticulous, and commercially astute individual to lead project delivery from inception to completion. You will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will encompass the full project lifecycle, requiring expertise in:
Project Leadership & Delivery: Successfully manage the delivery of multiple electrical projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, main contractors, suppliers, and internal technical teams.
Financial Control: Oversee project budgets, procurement, variations, progress claims, and final account negotiation to maximize project profitability.
Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all project work adheres to relevant Australian standards, OH&S legislation, and company safety procedures.
Subcontractor & Team Management: Direct and supervise site foremen, electricians, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient labour allocation and on-site productivity.
Technical Oversight (Data Centre Focus): Manage the complexities of critical power infrastructure projects, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, containment, and sophisticated control systems.
