Are you an experienced leader with a passion for improving outcomes for people with psychosocial disability? We are seeking a dedicated Project Lead to drive strategic initiatives within a Federal Government agency aiming to improve the lives of everyday Australians.
In this specialist role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a strategy and workplan addressing the recommendations on psychosocial disability. You will apply your extensive understanding of the mental health and disability sectors to inform policy matters, legislative reform, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the implementation of a strategy and workplan addressing Government responses to recommendations on psychosocial disability.
- Provide expert advice on mental health and disability sector requirements and the partnership between clinical and non-clinical supports.
- Deliver on legislative reform through analysis and policy advice to inform the development of rules and legislative instruments that underpin the NDIS Act.
- Provide thought leadership and content expertise to improve the effectiveness of the scheme for people with psychosocial disability.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder engagement across psychosocial disability groups, related peak organisations, and the disability community.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated skills in policy analysis, strategy development, and research.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and produce timely, accurate, and persuasive advice.
- Experience managing senior-level relationships across Government and with key external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale reform projects across disability, mental health, education, justice, or social service sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant area of reform within the Federal Government. The contract is for 12 months, and the rate is negotiable based on skills and experience.
