WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Manage the entire end to end procurement process, including evaluations’ reviews, timeframes, member engagement, and other stakeholders, in particular:
1. Conduct assurance reviews and reporting for procurement activities;
2. Develop RFx documentation, conduct evaluations and negotiate contracts that demonstrate value for money.
3. Provide ‘first line’ probity advice to ensure ethical behaviour during procurement processes.
4. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Procurement ACT, and other relevant business areas;
5. Promote and apply the ACT Government procurement framework, including relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, as necessary;
6. Provide 'first line' probity advice to ensure ethical behaviour is maintained and exercised during the entire procurement process; and
7. Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed by the Director, Commercial and Program Finance.
2. Assist in managing the existing contracts, including:
1. Work closely with the Director, Commercial and Program Finance on contract management related matters;
2. Maintain relevant contract management registers;
3. Undertake minutes and relevant contract notes for contextual reference purposes; and
4. Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed by the Director, Commercial and Program Finance.

WHAT YOU REQUIRE

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

1. Deep understanding of procurement legislation and processes.
2. Demonstrated experience within a similar role.
3. Good understanding and experience in contract management processes and policies.
4. Ability to work with external vendors.
5. Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders of varying professional disciplines.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple agendas in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent negotiation, communications, and interpersonal skills.
8. Relevant qualifications in procurement and contract management.
